Our approach

Philosophy:
Our approach to education is based on the idea that every child should be afforded the opportunity to learn and grow according to his or her own pace. This can be accomplished by interacting with their environment through experimenting, discovering, building and creating. Our curriculum is based on the concept of learning through experiment. We provide a loving and nurturing foundation that will help each child in their future years. We provide developmentally appropriate activities which include musical exploration, creative art, dramatic play, mathematics, science, language building and gross motor experiences both indoors and outdoors. Every child deserves love and kindness. We concentrate on the child as a whole fostering intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth. Our staff is committed to motivating, facilitating and supporting your learners while they build natural curiosities and lifelong learning skills. Having the ability and knowledge to teach young children at this critical stage gives us confidence that these young learners will be prepared for the next level in life.

Discipline:
We use discipline to teach children to behave in ways that helps social development. A child must be taught to be considerate, polite, accepting, avoid harmful acts, self-confidence, and how to control their emotions. Disciple is effective in an environment that is warm and nurturing. Therefore, it is very important that parent and teacher have an open and informative relationship. When children feel good about parents and teachers in their lives, they try hard to do what the adults want and expect from them. We do not advocate corporal punishment. We have several discipline techniques we implement: redirecting, quiet time (1 minute per age) and reading a book.

Tuition and billing:
It’s our policy, that each child’s tuition is due weekly: rather the child is enrolled in full or part time program. This is based on the agreement signed upon enrolling your child within our facility and weekly tuition is due regardless of inconsistent attendance. Tuition is payable in advance each Monday morning unless other arrangements have been made through the Director (forms must be filled out). Please see parent handbook for additional policy and procedure concerning tuition and billing.

Attendance:
Children are expected to attend school daily. Classes begin at 9:30 am. Cut off time is 10am. Attendance is essential to the growth and progress of your child. Irregular attendance interrupts the child’s educational and social development experiences. Evening care hours are available as well. Please see Director for additional information.
